Mr/Ms UNIVERSE 2020 (AMATEUR and PRO)

7th/8th December 2020, Estoril (Portugal)

The Mr/Ms Universe 2020 will take place in the beautiful seaside city of Estoril (Portugal) with the participation of high level athletes from around the World.

1. Venue:

WABBA PORTUGAL will organize the competition at the Mr Big Evolution Gym – Rua Jose de Castro – 2775-592 CARCAVELOS

IMPORTANT! The competition will take place with “closed doors”, which means that no spectators will be allowed to enter the venue. Coaches and companions who want to enter the venue to help athletes will have to buy a backstage pass at the cost of 60 Euros. The pass will allow them to enter the venue and move freely inside for all the duration of the competition.

2. Hotel:

Every team should take care of the hotel booking for its athletes and delegates. In Estoril and the surrounding area there are many Hotels because Estoril is a touristic town. You can easily MAKE YOUR ROOM RESERVATION at this link.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WABBA INTERNATIONAL WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THE HOTEL BOOKING FOR ATHLETES AND DELEGATES.

3. Respect for hotel infrastructure:

All compettors should take great care not to damage the hotel property, in particular blankets and towels. The hotels management will charge any damage to the person who caused it. Thank you for your understanding.

4. Arrival and departure:

IMPORTANT: please make sure to read the requirements to travel to Portugal at this LINK. Remember to request the invitation letter needed to enter Portugal.

The nearest airport is LISBON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, which is about 30 km from Estoril. There is a train service (the station is in front of the Casino) or you can take a taxi (or Uber). We strongly recommend to arrive in time for the registration.

5. Schedule of the event:
  • Sunday 6th DECEMBER
    • 9 am – 7 pm Registration at Mr Big Evolution Gym – Rua Jose de Castro – 2775-592 CARCAVELOS
  • Monday 7th DECEMBER
    •  9 am – 3 pm Mr/Ms Universe 2020 first part at Mr Big Evolution Gym – Rua Jose de Castro – 2775-592 CARCAVELOS. Doors will open at 7.45 am for the athletes.
    • 4 pm – 8 pm Registration of the remaining athletes at Mr Big Evolution Gym.
  • Tuesday 8th DECEMBER
    •  9 am – 1 pm Mr/Ms Universe 2020 second part at Mr Big Evolution Gym.
6. Photographers:

Any team photographer who wants to be allowed to take photos inside the venue must obtain a WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION by WABBA PORTUGAL.

ATTENTION: Photographers without written authorization will be asked to leave the venue.

7. Climate:

In Estoril the climate is mild Mediterranean, therefore temperatures will range from 14 to 20 degrees Celsius.

8. Language and currency:

Portoguese (English is spoken), Euro.

9. Categories:

The WABBA INTERNATIONAL categories will be judged onstage.

10. Tanning service:

WABBA INTERNATIONAL highly recommendsto all athletes to use the professional tanning service that will be available on-site. The professional tanning guarantees uniformity in the colouring and a perfect look onstage. The cost of the tanning service is € 60 and it can be booked at registration.
